Myrtle Beach in Sept

We made it to myrtle beach & explored the beach in the dark. Found lots of shells!

Luke refused to sleep in the pack-n-play so we tried out the air mattress. I only had to pull him out of the crack between wall & mattress twice. He did great!

This cutie slept great in her bed made for a princess.

Enjoying the sunrise with grandma Kelley.

We loved the mini golf. Everyone got a hole in one!  Well, mine bounced off Emma's foot then in but I'm still counting it. And Luke would run his ball up to the hole then kick it in & yell hole-in-one!  The other three were legit. :)

Taking lessons from grandpa Kelley.

Right after her first hole in one!!!!!

Celebrating grandpa's 60th birthday with blueberry crisp in the morning.

Then finishing the celebration with ice cream.  A great 60th celebration trip!

Happy Birthday Grammy!

We had a fun dinner celebrating Grammys birthday. Luke decided he'd rather eat his cupcake out of Grammys hand then his plate. And, of course, Grammy let him. :)

Happy 1st Birthday Luke! (& Thanksgiving)

I'm a little late posting Luke's Birthday pictures, but still wanted to share.  We had a great celebration at my parents house.  The early afternoon was Thanksgiving celebration.  Then after the turkey was put away it became 1st Birthday Celebration!!  Luke even had a different shirt for each part of the day just so you wouldn't be confused :)  I had debated making cupcakes or using pumpkin pie.  In the end, the pumpkin pie won.  Luke loved it! He ate almost the entire slice.  Guess his cake of choice might be pumpkin just like his momma.  It's been such a great year seeing him develop & grow along with Emma.  Here's a short list of his achievements: walking, says: momma, dada, em-ma, BALL, eese (that's used for both cheese & reese), shakes head yes & no, points to his nose, sticks out tongue when asked where it is, signs: eat, more, milk & along with If You're Happy & You Know It.  I'm sure there is a lot more but that's all that comes to mind right now.  Can't wait to see what fun year 2 brings!

My First Day Back at Work

I eased back into the work week today. I took Emma to school and was going to do some work at a South Charlotte Starbucks, but forgot my wallet. I headed back to the house and set up shop there, which worked out well so Michelle could get some things done and not worry about Luke (he just slept, but you still have to keep an eye on the little guy). It's amazing how quiet the house is with Emma at school.

Once I wrapped my work up we headed into Emma's school to celebrate her Birthday. We took in cookies and juice boxes. It was so much fun to see Emma with her buddies. They sang songs to Emma, Luke and had a ball. We have some videos, but here are some pics with her little crown. Her teachers really seem to enjoy her and say she is always cracking them up.

It sounds like the rest of the day went well for Michelle. Luke didn't sleep when Michelle put him down, so she had to hold him all day, which made it a little challenge. Emma didn't nap either which is happening more and more.

Michelle sent me this text at work: Emma was standing over Luke watching him sleep & drooled on his head. Then she squealed & said "gross his head is leaking!"

I had a late work meeting and had to get a few things wrapped up but Emma was able to stay up. Well, as you can see from the pics, she was up for a little bit. When I walked in the door, Michelle had Emma and Luke in her arms reading. It was so sweet. Then Emma read another book and then was pretty much out. Maybe tomorrow she'll take a nap!

It has been a fantastic week. I have been fortunate both at Push America and 24HoB to be able to take some time off to spend with Michelle and our new additions. I think this was the first full week I've been off and I couldn't think of a better place to be!
