It was a crazy week...weather wise that is. Snow on Monday and 80 degrees on Saturday!

I think we are done taking pictures of Emma in her play thingy for a while. She climbed up yesterday looked at me and said "cheese"....I didn't even have the camera with me!!!

The neighbors came down for a cookout last night. Emma and Charley had fun playing in the fountain.

A Good Weekend

We've enjoyed a pretty relaxing weekend.  It was nice after last week's craziness (there was no real apparent reason for said craziness - it was just crazy).  No hurring and scurrying--mostly have staying in the confines of Char-Meck.  Friday we did hit up the Flying Biscuit-its always nice to have breakfast as dinner but this place - the food is good even though they're all organic.  Last night we headed over to the Wick's to hang.  We had a great time playing RockBand. Fortunately, no pics or videos were taken there.

We headed over to the Wick's last night.  Emma was set to play some Rock Band in her Rock and Roll t-shirt.  She was dancing a good bit of the night to all the songs! We had a lot of fun.

Well, Emma hasn't developed my love for Santa yet. We'll try again next year...

Playing Around...

It was a little chilly last week, but we just had to get out of the house. I finally figured out that Emma will leave her hat on if I don't attach it under her chin. Doesn't she look so cute all bundeled up?!?! And thank goodness for the paci...it kept her from putting sticks, pine straw, rocks, dirt, moss, and anything else she could find in her mouth.

Grandparents watch out...here we come! I got the suitcase out to pack and Emma decided she wanted to help. And a big help she was...she inspected the suitcase from inside out and determined it was ok to hold stuff...including herself!

Thursday Olivia (in red) and Nicola came over for a play date. The girls had a really fun time toghether. And of course, when I wanted to take a pic they wouldn't look at me!

Stinker

Well, it is consignment sale season in CLT. I hit up two last week and have another one this weekend. That is where I found Emma's push toy and also this cute little bug for her to ride in. It took a trip around the neighborhood for her to get used to it. She really enjoys going for walks with Charley now b/c she can reach Charley easier now (Charley rides in a wagon).

Emma got her top right tooth late last week. And her top left is trying to come in, but it's not very close. So Emma is enjoying the halloween season with three teeth like a jack-o-lantern. Keep your fingers crossed that it comes in soon b/c she has been cranky!



Look at those cute little tennis shoes! Finally she crawls and walks with them on. Before she would just sit on the floor and stare at them...and not move at all!!!


Last night this little stinker figured out how to climb on the fireplace. She gets up there easily but doesn't know how to get down. She turned around and did a head first dive to get off last night....luckily mama was right there to catch her. She thought it was so funny that I cought her that she wanted to do it again. I tried to explain that it was dangerous and she can't get up there....then realized I was trying to reason with a 9 month old. So I moved her into her room thinking that she would get distracted and forget. Didn't work, as soon as I set her down she took off for the fireplace again. Check out the video of her...I let her do it one more time just so I could get it on camera :-)

Happy Birthday Grandma and Ben!

It' me (Bas) doing the updates, so you might notice a difference in the writing (my errors aside).

We had a good weekend. It was one of those busy weekends, but we didn't do a ton (kind of like jumbo shrimp?). I reffed and coached some soccer and then we went to Benny's birthday bash. He shares a birthday with GMA Lyberg. It was Emma's first birthday party, for another kid and she seemed to have a good time. There was a creepy (but very good with the kids) who brought all these animals. The kids loved them. At least I think so, I was outside throwing some bags. I didn't want to make a crowd around the animals.

Today Michelle took Emma over to see her friend Jack. He was born around the same time as Emma. Michelle told me that Anna, Jack's sister told Michelle that she liked Emma better than Jack and wanted to switch. When asked if she would miss Jack, she said no. Sounds a lot like my sisters.

BBQ

Almost forgot to give you the update....Emma went for her 9 month checkup last week. She is 28" and 18.01 lbs. Everything checked out perfect and she didn't have to have any shots this time.

Emma got wedged between the fireplace and the table. So she decided to read a book until someone freed her :-)

On Friday we headed up to a little shopping center that was having a band play in a grassy area. Emma had her first taste of BBQ!


Go Blue! Her butt ruffles are very cute...but didn't bring any luck...
