It's Easter!

Happy Easter!  So this post is a little late but wanted you to see our cute kiddos in their Easter best.  Luke is such the handsome little man in his suit & Emma beautiful as always in her dress.
We had a great Easter.  Such a nice day now that both sets of grandparents live down here.

On our way to mass in the morning.

Easter Baskets!  Trying to get a good picture of both kiddos but only way for Luke to sit still was to yell "freeze".  Thanks to Gymboree "freeze" makes him put his hands on his head.

Miss drama making a sad face because she was tired of me taking her picture.

Admiring her Easter eggs one last time before I turn them into deviled eggs.

The start of the egg hunt!

Luke had a totally different hunt philosophy then Emma.  Luke would find an egg, break it open, eat all the candy, throw the egg on the ground then hunt for the next egg.  Emma was on a full out hunt for as many as she could find.  She'd wait til the hunt was done to see the prize inside.

Egg Decorating

This was the first year we've decorated Easter eggs.  Emma loved it!  She did a great job being careful not to crack the eggs while coloring them. She even became a pro at multiple colors.  We tried to figure out a non-messy way for Luke to help.  We didn't discover one.  So Luke destroyed an egg & spilled dye on the floor.  But we had a great time!

This was a handy pinterest tip but didn't work well
Sticking his finger into the egg then realizing he didn't like it

Peter Rabbit at DSBG

We headed up to Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens to see Peter Rabbit.  Neither kid liked Peter Rabbit.  Emma hid behind me & Luke kept shaking his hand saying "No, no, no."
The blooming flowers were beautiful.  Last time we visited it was in the middle of winter & nothing was blooming.  The kiddos got to decorate & plant seeds.  Emma chose purple flower seeds.  And Luke got cucumber seeds.  Both plants have sprouted and are still alive!  They listened to the story of Peter Rabbit read by mother rabbit.  Well, Emma listed very well & Luke pounded daddy & Grandpa with an inflatable carrot.

Lazy 5 Ranch

Found this post in the draft file.  Uploaded the pictures then forgot to post...whoops!
Over Christmas holiday Aunt Molly & Nathaniel came to the QC to visit.  We headed up to the Lazy 5 Ranch with some friends & had a great visit.  It is so much fun feeding the animals.  I think I love it even more then the kiddos.  Luke loved looking & pointing.  Emma loved watching the animals.  She wasn't ready to toss them food yet, still keeping her distance.
