Well, our MI family in NC has dwendeled.  We had one last BBQ to say goodbye to the Lambrix & Kelly's.  We will miss them dearly.

Emma's Spring Dance Recital

(Playing Catch Up)

Emma had her first real dance recital in June.  She has been taking dance lessons at the Y this past year & sometimes loves it & sometimes hates it.  According to her she "loves to dance her own way not always how they make me."  I was a little nervous as to how she would perform.  I thought she might do a little but stand there most of the time & watch her friends, the audience, anything shiny.  She did FANTASTIC!  That will teach me to ever doubt her abilities.  She knew most every step.  She probably danced the most out of the 5 girls in her group.  And she was just the most adorable ballerina!!

Up on stage for her tap dance

Emma's the one on the left.

Ballet time now.

A flower & hugs from daddy after her performance.

Hugs from Auntie Sarah

Kisses from Grampy

Squishy kisses from daddy & mommy

So proud of her medal she "won"

Hugs from Grandpa & Grandma

I was room mom, so here is what we did behind the scenes.

On our way to our first performance.  Had to sit & wait while they brought carpet out to walk on - 3 girls fell walking in those tap shoes!

Patiently & nervously waiting to go on stage.

So happy.

So proud of you Peanut!  We love you!

Happy 1st Birthday Luke! (& Thanksgiving)

I'm a little late posting Luke's Birthday pictures, but still wanted to share.  We had a great celebration at my parents house.  The early afternoon was Thanksgiving celebration.  Then after the turkey was put away it became 1st Birthday Celebration!!  Luke even had a different shirt for each part of the day just so you wouldn't be confused :)  I had debated making cupcakes or using pumpkin pie.  In the end, the pumpkin pie won.  Luke loved it! He ate almost the entire slice.  Guess his cake of choice might be pumpkin just like his momma.  It's been such a great year seeing him develop & grow along with Emma.  Here's a short list of his achievements: walking, says: momma, dada, em-ma, BALL, eese (that's used for both cheese & reese), shakes head yes & no, points to his nose, sticks out tongue when asked where it is, signs: eat, more, milk & along with If You're Happy & You Know It.  I'm sure there is a lot more but that's all that comes to mind right now.  Can't wait to see what fun year 2 brings!

Duck NC

This post is past due!  Sorry for the delay!

We had a great Kelley family reunion in the Outer Banks!  It was so fun to see all my cousins & aunties.  I can't believe it had been 4yrs since we had all been together.  And let me tell you, my kiddos loved having everyone around.  I think it took them two weeks to stop requiring constant attention.  :)  We had two great beach days while we were there.   And we played lots of games.  Everyone played all the required games...horseshoes & volleyball...without being fuddy-duds.  Plus lots of great nighttime ones...the drawing game, bingo, poker, catchphrase & the fun one Kali brought (can't remember it's name).  Anyway, you get the idea - - we had FUN!  Here are some pics to prove it :)

My cousin Kali                                     Even Justin flew in for the reunion!

First day was cold so we swam in the indoor pool.

Nathaniel starting the puzzle that we would all help to finish.

    The beach!

The horseshoe tournament.  Dad made the bracket, which we all thought was stacked.  The winners were Sherry & Wayne!

Grandpa & Luke                                      Luke!                                  Carrie & Kali

We headed up to the Roanoke Island missing settlement park.  Jay & Emma were looking for fossils.  The gang was just clowning around :)

Day at the beach!  Emma braved the FREEZING cold water to fill up her watering can.  She wasn't the only crazy one to get in that water. I think Wayne, Dalton, Austin & Jenny joined her.

Dalton & Hannah                                  Weenie                                   Justin & Luke

Emma & Kali                               The babysitter...asleep.         Volleyball tournament!

        My cutie patootie                                The champs!

Luke rolled over onto his belly for the first time!  And we all missed it. Once he figured it out he didn't want to be on his back anymore.  Now he is a man on the move, rolling all over.

Kite flying was so easy!  You just lift it up and away it goes!

We played mini golf on probably the coldest day there.  But it was a fun time!
