Everything went great with Emma's delivery. Michelle started her contractions at 1:30 a.m. on the 7th. The contactions started off real close, about 2 minutes apart and we called the doctor. They told us to come in, but when we got everything packed up, the contactions moved closer to 7 or 8 minutes apart. So we hung out at the house until 4:00 and headed in to Presbyterian.
From there we thought everything was going to happen real fast from how the nurses were talking. Once Michelle got the epidural, everything screeched to a halt. We went from expecting everything to happen around noon, to hoping the doc would break her water at 3:00, to having him show up at 7:30. Inbetween all that we had nice visits from Kevin and then Charissa (even with a broken foot!) and David (thanks for the sub guys - I killed those things!). After that, things did get moving and again, sparing eveyrone the details, Emma Jane Lyberg was born at 11:30. 22 hours in labor, I'm sure this won't be the last time that is mentioned!
