Ben's 5th Birthday

Last Saturday we celebrated Ben's 5th birthday. I can't believe he is 5 already!! He had the pet man come and show some animals. And for some reason I sat in the circle with Emma instead of having Bas do it....not sure what I was thinking. I did pretty good though with all the animals. And Emma liked seeing most of them too.

Here we are in the circle waiting for the show to start.

Our first animal - an Albino King Snake (I think). Emma didn't like it & really didn't like holding it either. Gave me the creepys - although, it didn't feel as bad as I thought it would. Still don't want to hold one again.

The snake starting to explore - his head was going one way & the tail another. Emma just looked down into her lap pretending it wasn't even there.

Next up an even bigger snake. I did not hold or wear this one!

Dave got to wear the snake plus a lizard on his head.

Then we got to check out the lizard. Emma like looking at this one.

And a different bumpy lizard. Emma actually petted this one.

And an even bigger lizard. I didn't have to hold that one. Emma like looking, but didn't want to touch.

Oooh, here comes the turtle!

She liked the turtle. He kept trying to run in the air - she thought he was swimming.

Emma loved petting the bunny. I think she could have kept him all day. She thought his ears were funny.

Next up, the guinnea pig. She liked him too. But kept watching the bunny.

And last was the hampster. He was her favorite! He was a wild one and she just giggled.

Emma saying hey to baby Grady. He liked the animals too...cooed and laughed the entire time.

Oh, the last animal was a ferrit. Luckily Pet Man didn't pass it around. But he did talk about playing hide-&-seek with it. And everytime he would say "hide-&-seek" Emma would put her hands over her eyes to hide. Too cute!
