As I write this Luke just crossed his 24 hour birthday mark. So far so good. He is healthy and doing great. He has started cluster feeding which gets its origins from another form of cluster.
Everything yesterday went well. It was the longest fastest day ever. We got to the hospital at 7a and they got right to work getting Michelle hooked up. The Doctor guessed a 1:30p delivery, which was the kiss of death. 1:30 came and went like we were there ten minutes. It wasn't until 5:00p that it felt like we had been there a long time. From there Michelle's Doctor, who is fantastic, got to work. Luke Jerome was born at 8:54p. Michelle did so great with everything.
Today was a great day. Michelle was up early to feed Luke from 4a to 6a. He didn't eat but they hung out. Afterwards he had a pediatrician visit where she anticipated a high score on his SAT's.
After an hour of hanging out the picture lady came in and snapped off some shots with Luke. Then Emma, Jay, and Sherry came up for a visit which was great. Emma stayed the night over at Jay and Sherry's house (along with Mr. Reese). It sounds like she had a blast over there.
When they got here, I headed downstairs and had lunch with everyone while Michelle finished up feeding Luke. It was fun to seem Emma's reaction. She did so great and will be a good big sister.
Michelle did so fantastic. The comment we heard most often, "Mom, you look great. Dad, what the hell happened to you?"
The proof is in the pudding.
This is Michelle's Doc, Dr. Rogers. She was so fantastic. We went so far as to schedule the induction for make sure she was on call.
Luke had to get his blood sugar tested. Not a fan.
Emma did so great meeting Luke for the first time.

This lady was better than a car salesman. We told her no out of the gates and she gave us an offer we couldn't refuse.
When it was time to hit the road, Emma did great. She was excited to get back to Grandma and Grandpa's where she has unlimited Dora, Strawberry Shortcake, candy and cheeseballs.
