Christmas Eve At Levine

Well, Christmas Eve didn't go exactly as I had it planned. Luke woke up that morning not feeling well. He didn't want to eat during the night then projectile vomiting. The Dr office didn't have any sick appointments left so they sent us to the children's ER. The Drs didn't want to admit him but because he was dehydrated they couldn't run all the tests they needed. After a very long & draining day in the ER Luke was admitted for 24 hours to the children's hospital. From the pictures you can see his IV under the dino bandage, the red pulse monitor on his toe, and the heart monitors. He had so many cords hooked to him but they were long so I was still able to hold & love on him.
That night Bas & Emma came up for a visit & dinner. We had fun all hanging out & watching a movie. During the day Bas & Emma had baked cookies for Santa & been talking about his visit all day. Not knowing when Luke would be released we weren't sure if Santa was going to make it to our house that night or the next. We stopped talking about Santa & hoped Emma would forget.
Luke began keeping his feedings down & eating regularly again. All the blood, urine & ultra sound tests came back negative so we were released about noon on Christmas day. Not sure exactly what made him sick probably just one of the nasty virus that's going around.
Luke & I got home around noon on Christmas day. So glad to be home with a healthy baby -best Christmas gift. We spent some family time together then Emma took a nap (or tried). While she was napping Santa came to visit! She was so excited when we told her. She ran over to the tree & started grabbing gifts to open, it didn't matter who they were for. It was so fun to see her about Christmas this year.
This is probably the last year we could postpone Santa's arrival.
It's been a few days & Luke is doing very well.
