Good Friend

Emma's teacher sent a note home in her bag Thursday that said she was a good friend; Emma helped a friend who was having a rough day. I was so proud..I loved hearing that. And this is the conversation that followed:

Me: Emma, miss Jeri said you were a great friend at school today.
Emma: I was.
Me: how did you help your friend?
Emma: It was Olivia. She was sad b/c miss jeri caught her sticking her tongue at Clara. She sat Olivia next to me.
Me: And you cheered her up?
Emma: no. I taught her that I always make sure you're not looking before I stick my tongue out at you. She should see if miss jeri is looking too.

I'm pretty sure Miss Jeri missed that part of the conversation :)
